What’s unique and charming about the Lusatian Mountains is the fact that the region isn’t overcrowded with tourists. It’s as if those who know about this hidden gem jealously guarded the mountains’ peace! However, despite all that, the tourist facilities here are exceptionally well developed. From a very dense network of well-marked hiking and educational trails, through numerous and extremely varied cycle paths, excellent swimming opportunities, perfect and renowned climbing terrain, to an abundance of mushrooms, wonderful fishing, and ideal conditions for winter activities. Cross-country skiing terrains here are sought after for their scenic beauty, tranquillity, but also their challenging nature. The passes and ridges of the small mountains in the north pose a challenge even for fit athletes and hikers.
Only 700 meters high, and yet…
